Salvatore AngilieriNino Castiglione s.r.l. - Technical Director
Born in Trapani on the 09/11/1964, Salvatore Angileri, after a BS degree in Nuclear Engineering at the Palermo University, focused its interests on the engineering of plants and in the health and safety and security facilities in several industrial areas and mainly in the food and health sectors.
In coherence with such an experience he has been admitted as a candidate in the Sicily Region Department of Health official list to the General Direction of complex Healthcare Facilities.
In the specific project management sector he counts several experiences such as Tigri s.r.l. – Salemi, ASL N.9 – Trapani, P&T S.p.A. – Hamburg, Eolica Platani S.r.l. – Rome, Matos S.p.A. – Rome.
The long standing partnership with the NINO CASTIGLIONE – TRAPANI has been addressed to the technical direction, the quality management system responsibility, the Health and Safety Management for the protection and prevention services and the role of Energy Manager, with the task of the design, construction supervision and coordination of the high efficiency cogeneration plant.
As known tuna has experienced moments of severe stress that has led to a situation of strong depletion of some resources that were not able to maintain an acceptable rate of renewal.
Let’s remember the overfishing of bluefin tuna in the Mediterranean which has led to a strong reduction in the stock and for this reason The Nino Castiglione has decided to dispose of the decline of the traps, sustainable method par excellence.
The Nino Castiglione has been the first company in the Sicilian tuna sector to undertake the articulated path leading to the voluntary certification Friend of the Sea (FoS), which complements the already stringent regulation EC 1005/2008.
In particular has been started a pioneering path, limited to small amounts, organizing with COOP a chain Friend of the Sea which starts from yellowfin tuna, maintaining traceability throughout the supply chain, and bringing on the shelves COOP tuna in the first possession of such certification.
Over the years, the Nino Castiglione has focused on a series of sustainability actions such as:
- TRANSFORMATION OF PACKAGING FROM PLASTIC IN CARTON
- PLANT WASTEWATER TREATMENT WITH REUSE OF WATER AND SLUDGE PROCESSING
- ENERGY RESOURCES
After analyzing various solutions it has been chosen to implement a cogeneration system that ensures the production of electricity and steam required for the production cycle in complete autonomy with a substantial reduction of harmful substances emitted in the atmosphere.
