Giuseppina De SantisRegional Minister for Enterprise, Energy, Innovation and Research
Born in Cosenza in 1954, she graduated in law from “La Sapienza” University of Rome in 1980, with a thesis in constitutional law.
Over the years, she has worked on numerous occasions as a consultant for the Young Entrepreneurs Group Unione Industriale of Turin, for Fondazione Rosselli, for the Istituto di Metodologia (Institute of Methodology), for Unioncamere Piemonte (the regional association of the local Chambers of Commerce) and for Confindustria.
During the years 1999-2008 she was appointed as Councillor for the Province of Turin, in charge of the Budget, Finance, and European Programmes.
From 2008 to 2012 she sat on the Management Board and Investments Committee of Compagnia di San Paolo, the Italian second largest bank foundation.
From July 2013 to June 2014 she was a board director of F2i Sgr. the largest European fund management company investing in infrastructures.
Having acted as a consultant for Turin “Luigi Einaudi” Research and Documentation Centre as early as 1980, in 2001 she was appointed director of the Centre, a position she held until 2014.
She is author of various researches on the economic development of Piedmont, on families’ savings in Italy, on women participation to the labour force in Italy.
