Gianluca Carenzo is the General Manager of Parco Tecnologico Padano, a science and technology park and cluster management organisation in the agro-biotechnology sector in Lodi (Milan area) .

Born in 1972, after an experience in Regione Lombardia-COR for the set up of a network of research centres in 1999, Gianluca Carenzo joined Biopolo Milano, a technology transfer agency in Italy for consultancy in the biotechnology sector.
He started as Project manager and then executive director in Parco Tecnologico Padano. following directly the launch of the business innovation center for start up of SMEs and cluster activities.

Gianluca Carenzo is also currently running an incubator program for innovative start ups in the agrofood & health sector, namely ALIMENTA and is member of the board of start up companies.
Gianluca Carenzo is expert in consultancy for selection of funding opportunity for innovative SMES, technical assistance in the due diligence finance process and business planning consultancy and cluster management and cooperation.

Since 2010 is the coordinator of the national working group on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy. in ASSOBIOTEC, the Italian association of biotech industries, affiliated to Confindustria-Federchimica

Since 2012 Gianluca is also member of the board of directors of APSTI, the Italian association of Science and Technology Parks. Since 2012 Gianluca is also coordinating the activities of CAT.AL, the Cluster High Technology Agrofood in Lombardia Region.
Since 2014 Gianluca is also member of the strategic committee of the Banca Popolare di Lodi Foundation.

Gianluca Carenzo is also expert in cluster management and benchmarking (ESCA certified benchmarking expert) and is the technical coordinator of the international project “Feeding the Planet” for internationalization in emerging markets of SME’s of three major food cluster in Europe.
