Dr. Bruno P. Jarry holds a PhD in Genetics from Marseille University.
He held tenure as Professor of Genetics in Strasbourg University from 1981 to 1986 when he moved to industry as Vice-President R&D in Orsan, a subsidiary of the French Lafarge Group.
In 1994 he moved of Amylum, a Belgian Group as R&D Director, then to Tate & Lyle, a British Group from 2000 to 2004 as Scientific Director. He was then appointed Senior Advisor to the Chairman of Institut Curie, the largest cancer research institution in France from 2004 to 2008, then Senior Advisor to the French Prime Minister cabinet from 2008 to 2012, in charge of Biofuels policy.
He is presently Chairman of the Biotechnology Commission of the French National Academy of France and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking, a public-private program for development of the white Biotechnology in Europe.
